The Warranty Group today announced that the emergence of longer manufacturer warranties on new cars will mean that used cars will also have to come with longer term warranty packages. The firm pointed out that this will happen as part of a long term trend to make the used car buying experience as close to new purchasing as possible, this will especially be the case for manufacturers and larger independent dealers.

Ian Simpson, sales and marketing director, said: “The continuing shortage of used cars and the resulting increase in prices mean that buyers are, effectively, getting less for more. As a result, dealers of all kinds are having to look at ways of making their used car proposition more attractive and increased warranty provision is one solution. Customers have been voluntarily opting for longer and more comprehensive warranties since the start of the recession so building these products into the standard used car offering makes some sense.”

There is added pressure on used car warranties ever since the launch of manufacturer warranties which overlap used cars as well, schemes like Vauxhall’s life time warranty and Kia’s 7 year warranty programs have pushed the need for better used car warranties. For the consumer this is great news, as it means that they will get a lot more peace of mind with their used cars in Aberdeen, unfortunately used cars tend to have the urge to breakdown soon after purchase so this will definitely help boost customer confidence.

Ian Simpson backed this though and said, “If a manufacturer extends their new warranty to five year or adopts an approved used car warranty that effectively provides new car levels of cover, then it inevitably has an impact elsewhere.”Ian Simpson backed this though and said, “If a manufacturer extends their new warranty to five year or adopts an approved used car warranty that effectively provides new car levels of cover, then it inevitably has an impact elsewhere.”Ian Simpson backed this though and said, “If a manufacturer extends their new warranty to five year or adopts an approved used car warranty that effectively provides new car levels of cover, then it inevitably has an impact elsewhere.”Ian Simpson backed this though and said, “If a manufacturer extends their new warranty to five year or adopts an approved used car warranty that effectively provides new car levels of cover, then it inevitably has an impact elsewhere.”

Auto oil, also known as engine or motor oil, is a particular kind of oil used in vehicles to lubricate the engine. After a while (depending on how often the vehicle is used), the oil gets dirty. Dirty oil is not good for engines. As such, oil changes are done during servicing of vehicles. After oil changes, the old oil is usually discarded. However, if you are looking for a more environmentally safe way of discarding used or dirty oil, you may consider recycling. Auto oil can be recycled and used for heating furnaces, lubrication or used as raw material for refining and petrochemical industries.

How to Change Auto Oil

Changing auto oil is a simple task that you can do yourself. Firstly and most important, ensure the oil is not hot before attempting to change it so as to prevent injuries.1. Simply locate the oil drain plug which is located on the underside of the engine. Your owners manual can be helpful in locating this.

2. Position your oil drain pan under the oil drain plug in preparation for the gush of oil.

3. Using your socket wrench, carefully remove the bolts of the oil drain plug turning clockwise to loosen.

4. Remove the plug by hand and let the oil run into the drain pan, being very careful not to get burnt by the oil (if it is still hot).

5. Replace the oil drain plug and don’t forget to replace the old auto oil with new, clean auto oil.

How to Recycle Auto Oil

1. Now that you’ve drained your vehicle of the old auto oil, it’s time to store it. Place the old auto oil in a sealable container. Ensure to label this container to eliminate any mistakes or confusion. Make sure the container is clean and had not contained any chemicals or household products before. Also, make sure the container is leak proof. There are containers specifically for oil storage that can be purchased at automotive stores.

2. Now that you’ve collected and properly stored your used auto oil, it’s time to recycle it. Chances are that you don’t have the equipment to recycle the oil yourself, so the next best thing is to have someone else do it. Find a collection center, a car repair center or a service station in your area. There are sites that can help you find a center easily. There are some areas that provide curbside pick up for used auto oil. These places will collect your oil and recycle it.

Oil that is improperly discarded can negatively affect your environment and consequently your health. Recycling is easy and eco-friendly

There are a lot of people who would like to habitually purchase auto accessories without really understanding and thinking about the price of what they are buying. The products that buy random accessories for the cars will most likely collect dust in a drawer or probably be placed in a forgettable place in a spot in the garage.

There are a lot of different auto accessories that are not necessarily needed by car owners and yet gets constantly picked up or bought. This becomes a problem if it becomes habitual for car owners as it is a clear sign that the driver needs to make an assessment on what he or she has been spending whenever they go shop or visit auto accessories stores.

Here are some of the things that a person should consider when they are shopping for auto accessories. These pointers and things to consider would really help you not only become a wise consumer but also avoid the pitfalls of being a joy shopper which includes being knee deep in debt.

• Think of what you need – One of the basic tenets when it comes to buying products including auto accessories is to really think hard of what you’ll really need and what you do not need for your car. There are a lot of different products out there that catch the attention of consumers but in reality, it does not provide any kind of real help in times of real need.

• Work on a Budget – a great way of avoiding joy shopping or completely splurging your hard earned dollar is to work on a budget. If you bring cash when you visit auto accessories stores, it would be a good idea to leave most of the cash you have and just bring in the amount of money that is specified on you budget. If it would not be too much of a burden, you might want to go ahead and just leave your credit card at home.

• Read reviews – before going inside an auto accessories stores, it would be a good idea to read and research more about the different brands and products that they would like to get. Reading reviews and write ups online can help in making smart consumers as it would help make people pick the right product for their needs and not solely on the look and the packaging of the product.

These will definitely help make things easier for buyers and at the same time also provide a way to save money and time when shopping for auto accessories.

The company explained to its dealers that it had not been able to secure replacements for the Isuzu Ascender and Isuzu i-Series that would be commercially viable.
